EU Talent Pool - for persons under temporary protection

author
The EU Talent Pool is an online job search tool for people fleeing the war in Ukraine and seeking employment in the EU. It helps identify and map their skills and facilitates their alignment with employers from the EU.

From October 10, 2022, an application designed to connect employers with persons under temporary protection called the EU Talent Pool was launched. The pilot project of the EU Talent Pool was initiated with the aim of establishing an application that would serve as an additional tool for member states and users of temporary protection within countries, allowing them to enter their resumes for those who have approved temporary protection. The application itself is located on the EURES portal and can be accessed in the same way as unemployed persons when registering on the EURES portal.

For all information regarding registration and use of the EU Talent Pool, persons under temporary protection can seek assistance or advice from EURES advisers or PickJobs!

What is the EU Talent Pool?

The EU Talent Pool is an online job search tool for people fleeing the war in Ukraine and seeking employment in the EU. It helps identify and map their skills and facilitates their alignment with employers from the EU. Users of temporary protection or appropriate protection under national law will be able to find jobs more easily: they can use the EU Talent Pool to create a resume, display their skills and professional experience, and show their interest in finding a job with over 4000 employers.

Finding employment will help them:

  • have more financial independence
  • integrate better
  • preserve and improve their skills for the future

How does the EU Talent Pool work?

The EU Talent Pool works through the EURES portal - a job search portal that brings together national employment agencies, private employment agencies, and employers throughout the EU. EURES contains more than 3 million job vacancies and 4000 employers. After registration, job seekers will be able to post their resumes on the EURES portal. Candidates can consult with EURES advisers from participating countries in the project. PickJobs provides assistance with employment and resume publication.

Who can benefit from the EU Talent Pool?

All job seekers who are entitled to temporary protection under the EU Temporary Protection Directive, or appropriate protection under national law that entitles them to work in the member state where they are registered.

Which EU member states participate in the EU Talent Pool?

Participation of EU member states in the pilot project is voluntary. To see which EU member states participate in the EU Talent Pool Pilot, please see the map on the website.

Job seekers can browse the list of job vacancies. Published resumes will also be visible to registered employers in all EURES countries. In the event that a job seeker finds a job in an EU member state that does not participate in the pilot initiative, they can move to that other EU country.
