COMPETITION

to fill a job position

CROATIAN LANGUAGE TEACHER (m/f)

- 1 executive (m/f), in Opatija, for an indefinite part-time position (8 hours of direct educational work per week), with a probationary period of 6 months

CONDITIONS:

  • meeting the requirements set out in Article 105 of the Act on Education in Primary and Secondary Schools (Official Gazette 87/08, 86/09, 92/10, 105/10, 90/11, 5/12, 16/12, 86/12, 126/12, 94/13, 152/14, 07/17, 68/18, 98/19, 64/20, 133/2020, 151/2022, 156/2023) and Article 2 of the Ordinance on Professional Qualifications and Pedagogical and Psychological Education of Teachers in Secondary Education (Official Gazette 1/1996, 80/1999)
  • English language proficiency at B2 level
  • there are no obstacles to establishing an employment relationship in a school institution from Article 106 of the Act on Education in Primary and Secondary Schools (Official Gazette 87/08, 86/09, 92/10, 105/10, 90/11, 5/12, 16/12, 86/12, 126/12, 94/13, 152/14, 07/17, 68/18, 98/19, 64/20, 133/2020, 151/2022, 156/2023)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Looking for a Croatian language teacher to work at the Adria International High School, which is a candidate for the IB MYP, i.e. on the way to authorization to become an IB World School. More about the program can be found on the website https://adria-school.hr/programs/ . The program is conducted in English. Candidates are expected to be motivated and have a serious approach to work. The employer offers a pleasant working environment, a stimulating salary and investment in the business development of employees.

    TENDER PROCEDURE:

The application for the competition must be submitted electronically to careers@adria-school.hr within one month of the date of the competition announcement, with the note "APPLICATION FOR THE COMPETITION – CROATIAN LANGUAGE TEACHER".

The competition will be open from March 28, 2025 to April 10, 2025.

In the application for the competition, the candidate is required to provide an e-mail address and telephone number for the purpose of contacting during the competition procedure.

In the application for the competition, the candidate submits:

  • motivation letter
  • biography
  • proof of acquired professional qualifications
  • certificate that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the candidate regarding obstacles to employment under Article 106 of the Act, no older than the date of the announcement of the competition
  • certificate of English language proficiency at B2 level (if the candidate does not have it, an English language proficiency test will be conducted)

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

Candidates who have submitted a complete application on time will be invited to a test/interview, at the discretion of the director.

By applying for the competition, candidates give their consent to the processing of personal data specified in all submitted attachments or documents for the purposes of implementing the competition procedure.

The school, as the data controller, collects and processes the personal data of candidates for the purpose of implementing the competition procedure pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1(b), in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation OJ EU L119 (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC) with all the rights of data subjects arising therefrom.

Candidates will be notified of the results of the competition upon completion of the competition procedure via the School's website ( https://adria-school.hr/ ) within 15 days from the date of concluding the employment contract with the selected candidate, and the notification will be considered delivered to all candidates upon the expiry of the eighth day from the date of publication on the School's website.
