Job Description

COMPETITION for the job
cashier / assistant / ticket clerk - for a fixed period of time with a mandatory probationary period of two months

Conditions for doing business:

  • four-year secondary education (SSS)
  • one (1) year of work experience in the same or similar jobs
  • passed the B category driving test
  • organizational skills and propensity for teamwork
  • computer skills.


The application for the competition must contain:

  • request
  • biography
  • a copy of the high school graduation certificate
  • proof of computer skills (certificate, attestation, statement, etc.)
  • certificate of the competent court that no criminal proceedings are being conducted against the candidate (not older than 3 months)
  • a copy of the certificate or electronic record of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (electronic record of employment status - e-workbook)
  • employer's certificate or other appropriate evidence (employment contract, decision, etc.) on work experience gained in the field of appropriate education and profession
  • a copy of the driver's license.


Description of jobs:

  • maintains cleanliness at all three location units, depending on the layout
  • cleans the spaces used by all workers and visitors of POU Koprivnica (toilets, corridors, offices)
  • maintains the cleanliness of glass and other surfaces, equipment and furniture
  • occasionally cleans the space after major craft works, adaptations and the like
  • performs extraordinary cleaning after major gatherings and visits to POU Koprivnica
  • disposes and removes garbage
  • cleans snow in front of and around the buildings of POU Koprivnica and helps with other physical tasks as needed
  • maintains the passability of all roads in POU Koprivnica (yards, hallways, staircases, passageways, etc.) and in case of noticing their congestion and inaccessibility of individual rooms removes deficiencies
  • supervises the toilets and in case of failures informs the manager and the Director
  • takes care of the supply, storage and conscientious use of cleaning materials and accessories
  • performs delivery as needed, assists in the delivery and dispatch of postal items
  • is responsible for the equipment and means of work in charge
  • performs urgent and urgent tasks as needed and by order of the Director
  • performs treasury and ticket operations
  • uses available equipment and resources in its work and is responsible for them
  • responsible for keys and switching installations on and off
  • performs other tasks determined by law, the Statute, regulations and other acts of POU Koprivnica, and according to the order of the Director and Head of the Department.


The place of work is in Koprivnica.
Opening hours are 40 hours per week.

Persons of both sexes can apply equally to the competition, and the terms used in this competition for males are used neutrally and refer to males and females.

Candidates who, according to special regulations, exercise the right to priority in employment, are obliged to refer to this right in the application and enclose with the application all the prescribed evidence of that status. Candidates invoking the right to employment benefits in accordance with Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans and Members of Their Families (OG 121/17 and 98/19), Article 48f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (OG 33 / 92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19) and Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (OG 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), are obliged to refer to this right in the application and have priority over other candidates under equal conditions.

Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, in addition to applying for the competition are required to enclose a decision on established disability, or other public document on disability. , on the basis of which a person can be entered in the register of employed persons with disabilities and proof from which it is evident how the employment with the last employer was terminated (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).
Candidates who invoke the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian Invalids of War, with the application to the competition must, in addition to proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, enclose a decision or certificate of recognized status. , a statement that so far they have not used the right of priority in employment on that basis and proof from which it is evident how the employment with the last employer was terminated (decision, contract, agreement, etc.).

Candidates who meet the requirements of the competition will be invited to check their practical knowledge of computer work (Word, Excel) and an interview.

If the candidate does not take the practical test of computer skills or the interview, it is considered that he / she has withdrawn the application for the competition.
Candidates are obliged to enclose in the application all attachments and data indicated in the public tender in the form specified in the tender because the lack of one document or delivery of one document in a form not specified in the tender excludes the applicant from the candidate status. Candidates submit documents exclusively in uncertified copies that are returned. After the selection of the candidate, and before signing the employment contract, the selected candidate will submit the original documents or certified copies.

The application for the competition shall also state the data of the applicant (name and surname, address of residence, telephone number, e-mail address, exclusively for the purposes of the procedure).

Pursuant to the General Regulation on Data Protection (EU 2016/679 - hereinafter: the Regulation) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Regulation on Data Protection (Official Gazette No. 42/18), the Koprivnica Public Open University as the head of personal data processing with the same will act in accordance with the principles of personal data processing set out in Article 5 of the Regulation.

Candidates will be notified of the results of the competition in writing.
Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
Applications for the competition should be submitted to the address: Public Open University Koprivnica, Starogradska 1, 48000 Koprivnica, within 8 days from the date of publication in the Croatian Employment Service and on the website of the Public Open University Koprivnica.
