General conditions for admission to service:
In addition to the general requirements for admission to the service, candidates must also meet the following specific requirements:
Candidates of both sexes may apply, in accordance with Article 13 of the Gender Equality Act (Official Gazette, No. 82/08, 69/17). The terms used in this Advertisement for persons in the masculine gender are used neutrally and refer to both men and women.
The service is based on a fixed-term contract to replace an employee who is absent for a long period of time.
Persons whose admission is subject to obstacles set out in Articles 15 and 16 of the Civil Service Act may not be admitted to the service.
For candidates who apply to the Advertisement and meet the formal requirements and whose applications are correct and complete, a preliminary assessment of knowledge and abilities will be carried out through testing and interviews.
If the candidate does not take the test, he is considered to have withdrawn his application for the Advertisement and is no longer considered a candidate in the procedure.

The preliminary test of knowledge and abilities required to perform the duties of the position will be held in accordance with the Instructions and Notifications to Candidates in the manner, place and time of the test, which will be published prior to the test on the notice board of the administrative body and on the website of the City of Slavonski Brod www.slavonski-brod.hr prior to the test, and candidates will be notified, as a rule, via e-mail.
A candidate who can exercise the right of priority in employment according to a special law, must refer to that right in the application for the advertisement, specify the category by which he believes he exercises the right of priority, attach all the evidence of meeting the conditions, and in the event that he meets the legal prerequisites for the right of priority, he has priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

In order to exercise the right to employment priority, candidates from Article 101, paragraphs 1-3 and Article 102, paragraphs 1-3 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette, No. 121/17, 98/19) who, at the time of submitting their application, meet the conditions for exercising this right are required to submit all evidence of meeting the required conditions from this advertisement with their application, and depending on the category that is being called for employment priority, submit the prescribed evidence.

Candidates are required to submit their application for the Advertisement using the duly completed and signed form "Application Form for Public Tender/Advertisement" available on the official website of the City with the publication of this Advertisement. The application must include the applicant's personal data (personal name, residential address, telephone or mobile phone number, e-mail address) and the number and title of the position for which they are applying.

The above evidence is attached in a copy that does not need to be certified, and the candidate will present the original before the election. Certificates or certificates from public authorities may be submitted in the original. Documents submitted with the application will not be returned to candidates. Candidates who do not attach all the required documentation will not be invited to supplement their application.
If a different personal name of the candidate is stated on certain documents accompanying the application due to a change in personal name, the candidate is obliged to submit evidence of the change in personal name (resolution on the change of personal name, copy of marriage certificate, etc.).
The CV must list the job titles, types and job descriptions for each position the candidate has held, with an exact indication of the period of employment at each position and information about the employer(s), and the CV must be signed by hand.
"Work experience in appropriate jobs" means work experience gained in service in administrative bodies of local units, in state or public service, in employment with a private employer, and time spent independently performing professional activities in accordance with special regulations, achieved in jobs with appropriate qualifications (higher education) and profession (journalism, public relations, political science, communication studies or other social or humanistic professions).
Candidates are not required to submit a cover letter , recommendations, copies of evidence of additional professional training, etc. with their application.
Candidates who have not passed the state exam can also apply to the Advertisement, with the obligation to take the state exam within one year of being admitted to the service.
The certificate of medical fitness to perform the duties of the position shall be submitted by the selected candidate upon notification of selection, and before the decision on admission to service is made.
Applications for the Advertisement, with evidence of meeting the requirements, must be submitted within 15 days of the publication of the Advertisement in the CES "Labor Exchange" to the address: City of Slavonski Brod, Vukovarska 1, 35000 Slavonski Brod with the indication " Advertisement - advisor - for public relations and protocol - do not open » ".
Applications can also be submitted in person to the Office of the City of Slavonski Brod. Applications sent by e-mail or fax will not be considered. There is no obligation to consider applications that do not indicate which Advertisement the application is being submitted for, and the City is authorized to return such an application to the applicant without consideration. The candidate may supplement the application until the deadline for submitting applications, which must be submitted in the same manner as the application.
A complete application is considered to be an application that contains all the information and attachments specified in this Advertisement. Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered. Persons who submit incomplete and untimely applications or do not meet the formal requirements from the Advertisement are not considered candidates who have applied for the Advertisement, in accordance with Article 21 of the ZSN, of which they will be notified in writing, usually by e-mail.
Only candidates who submit a timely, signed and complete application, meet all the requirements specified for the position in this Advertisement, and who are invited to the test via email or public announcement according to the group schedule on the official City website can take part in the test.
Candidates who apply for the position and submit a timely, complete and prescribed application and meet the formal requirements will be tested for prior knowledge and skills testing and interview in accordance with the published Instructions and Notices to Candidates. The interview will only be conducted with candidates who have achieved at least 50% of the points in the written test.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679 - hereinafter: the Regulation) and the Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (Official Gazette No. 42/18), the City of Slavonski Brod, as the controller of personal data, will process personal data in accordance with the principles of personal data processing set out in Article 5 of the Regulation.
The City of Slavonski Brod reserves the right to cancel the advertisement without any obligations towards the registered candidates.
Candidates will be informed about the results of the advertisement in accordance with the ZSN, and no later than 60 days after the deadline for submitting the application.
