author
Foreigners in the Republic of Croatia who are looking for a job can work on the basis of an residence permit and work permit, or a work registration certificate.

Any person who is not a Croatian citizen (does not have Croatian citizenship) is considered a foreigner.

The application for a work permit is submitted by the employer in the police administration/station depending on the place of headquarter.
The worker must keep in mind that he/she may work only for the employer and for jobs for which he has been issued a work and residence permit.

Employers who want to hire a foreign national must take into account the duration of the work because the permit is issued for a certain period of time required to perform the same. Also, the passport of the future employee must be valid for at least 6 months longer than the agreed job, the concluded contract.
