for performing the duties of a teaching assistant for students with developmental disabilities

Position: TEACHING ASSISTANT

• TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed-term employment contract for the academic year 2022/2023.
  (September 2022 - June 2023)
  

• CONDITIONS:
• completed at least four years of high school education
• completed training and acquired partial qualification
• The PUN must not be a parent/guardian or other member of the immediate family of the student to whom support is provided
• A PUN must not be a person against whom criminal proceedings are being conducted or who has been legally tried for any of the criminal offences
  
  

DESCRIPTION OF JOBS:

PUN jobs are realized during the stay of a student or a group of students in school and outside the classroom activities that are an integral part of the school's curriculum and annual plan and program. The jobs of teaching assistants are: support in communication and social inclusion, support in movement, support in taking food and drinks, support in performing hygiene needs, support in performing school activities and tasks, cooperation with school workers and students' peers in the class, and specific tasks for the functioning of individual students or groups of students.

A written employment contract for the duration of September 2022 to June 2023 will be concluded with the candidate selected for PUN for students with developmental disabilities, which will define mutual rights and obligations.

In the handwritten application for invitation, the candidate should provide personal information (name and surname, date and place of birth, residential address, email address, telephone number and mobile phone number) and all requested attachments.

With the application, the candidate must attach the following documents in original or photocopy:

• proof of the appropriate level of education (copy of diploma or certificate of professional training),
• proof of Croatian citizenship (copy of birth certificate),
• biography,
• certificate of criminal record not older than 6 months,
• confirmation or certificate of completed education program for teaching assistant jobs with a minimum duration of 20 hours (copy),
• proof of work experience (electronic record of the work book of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute) not older than 30 days,
• evidence of the right to preference in employment, if they exercise such rights.
  

Persons who exercise the right of priority in employment are required to submit evidence of meeting the required conditions, a certificate of recognition of the status from which the right of priority is clearly stated, and proof of unemployment.

A candidate who exercises the right to priority in employment according to Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families ("Narodne novine", No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21), Article 48.f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids ("Official Gazette", number 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96 , 82/01, 103/03, 148/13 and 98/19), and Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette", No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), he/she is obliged to refer to this right in the application for a public call, and has priority over other candidates only under equal conditions.

A candidate who invokes the right of preference in employment, in accordance with Art. 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids ("Official Gazette", No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95 , 108/96, 82/01, 103/03.

A candidate who invokes the right to priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Official Gazette", No. 157/13, 152/14 and 39/18), with an application In addition to proof of fulfillment of the required conditions, the ad must include proof of the established status of a person with a disability.

Candidates who have not completed the education program for teaching assistant jobs with a minimum duration of 20 hours can also apply for the open call, with the condition that they complete it before starting work. All selected candidates are required to complete the training program for assistants before starting work. Candidates who have already completed that program should submit a certificate proving this, and are not obliged to attend the training. Education will be organized by the County of Istria as part of the implementation of the "MOZAIK 5" project.
The selection of candidates will be carried out in accordance with the Instructions for applicants of the Call number UP.03.2.1.07.

By submitting an application, persons who apply for the Invitation give their consent to the Medical School of Pula to collect and process the personal data specified in it for the purpose of employment, and to use it for the purpose of contacting and posting on its website and/or bulletin board.
Copies of the requested documents do not have to be certified, and participants are required to submit the original documents for inspection before concluding a written contract.

Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.

The deadline for submitting written applications with evidence of meeting the conditions from the Public Call begins on August 17, 2022. these applications must be received no later than August 25, 2022. by 10:00 a.m. by mail to the address of the school where the candidate is applying with the indication "Public invitation to perform the work of a teaching assistant for students with developmental disabilities"

Those interested in employment in several schools submit all documents to all schools, and in the application they should list the schools in order of interest.

The working relationship with the school will be based on a certain period of time for the academic year 2022/2023. after the selection procedure.
